The list below is from people who have supported ECA by donating their time and their product. Please support them by buying a board, shirt, or DVD. Emerica Wild Ride cordinator Jay Brundege contacted me about some NC info. A few contacts and some road knowledge later I recieved two boxes in the mail! Thanks Jay. Seems the Emerica team is headed north from SC on their motor cycles. They are inviting whomever to camp and follow them to NYC. Check out their camp/skate schedule on their site and get all the info on their current catalog which is full of rad stuff. Those HSU's are pretty damn sweet. Been skating them recently.

Trey Womble from Wilmington NC has hooked up my son and I with tons of stuff over the last few years. He is now on Globe and is sending some sweet shoes. The latest being these Clash signature shoe and the Appleyard. Both shoes right out of the box were flexible and skatable right away. I def want another pair of those Clash Shoes.

Also check out the United by Faith Videos with all three parts on line.

Thank you to Trey and Globe, hoping to get more real soon.

Globe Shoes

Ace trucks are put out by Joey Terchey and Greg Carrol. I contacted the local East Coast rep on where to get a pair and he forwarded me to Mr. Carrol who promptly sent me a pair right away! Now its not easy riding new trucks with so much Indy pride going around, but these trucks work! I got a set of 44's that seem to fit a 8.5 pretty good. The stock bushings are perfect and they turn super good. Super responsive. Grinding? I don't do enough to tell you how they handle on top of long grinds, but they feel like skateboard trucks. I pulled out my Indy book because I thought they look just like stage III's. Pretty close. Bottom line is: they turn, they grind, their light, and they are not Indy's. So if your into any of that, you'll prob be stoked on them. I do know they dont stay on the shelf very long. Ace trucks!
Dakine! I can't say enough good things about there products! When AAs's Amped Riders team needed bags for our summer 07 skate tour, Scott hooked it up with a duffle and backpacks for all ten of us. The team bag I used was my home for two weeks, with my camera gear and laptop, ipod, jackets, etc.... The duffle got muched in San Diego. No worries, we had plenty of extras they hooked up for rafles and such. When I got home I had this camera bag waiting for me. This bag is prob the biggest most comfortable bag made for camera gear. All my video and camera gear fit in it and I can't fill all the extra pockets it has. Thanks again Dakine!

Local surfer/shaper Steve Head has come up with a brain storm, in the way of a card game. Steve brought over the Skate game one night to play with my family and the game's graphic layout artist Jesse davis. We had a ball! The kids were eating it up. A quick game to pickup and it keeps the confidence levels going throughout the game. Important when you got young players who loose interest if they are loosing. the game plays fast and has many variations if you want to continue or shorten the game. Olivia's quote of the night, "this is so way radder then Uno!"

Steve and his wife Betsy along with his family, local Pro surfer Noah Snyder, and Hurly are throwing SuperHeat contest over the winter at Pizzaz Pizza. $5 and free pizza gt you entered. The contest works alot like a surf heat where the top two players from each heat avance to the finals. Highest total score at the end of the winter will win bigtime! The events are rad and Hurley has hooked it up so no one goes home empty handed... Skylar placed 2nd in the first one out of 20 players! go Skylar!

Check out Hurley's blog for some pics and info about the event.

Look for this game at all local surf shops real soon. If you are a shop and are interested in stocking the game, or would like to grab a few stocking stuffers for your kids, contact Steve here.

Jason over at Boardpusher hooked me up with a coupon to design my own graphic for a board. Basicly you can upload any graphic you want and use their design interface to tweak it any way you want. I'm sure he gives the design that extra touch to make it turn out right cause the one I did for Skyler (my boy) turned out super sick! If you go onto his site check out the option to create your own store and create graphics and sell throuh his website. Pretty sick little deal. So if there is any graphic you ever wanted, this is our guy. Head over to Boardpusher.com and make that happen. Thanks again Jason!

The guys over at Relic were nice enough to kick me one of Henry Guttierezz's new model and some sick wheels. check out more here and a little pic show from their last Outer Banks trip. Check out their website here
Roughneck Roughneck Hardware out of San Fran sent in this package. The bearings are right on time, super fast and cool colors. Three sets of tight looking hardware, some stickers and a DVD. Their team has got some heavy hitters on there, Sam Hitz, Dennis Busenitz, Brent Atchley, and NC local Jay Moody. The video was on the other night durng a throw down at the Anchor Inn, lots of good skating in there. Been around since 97. Thanks to Charlie for the package. Super good website. Check their myspace.

Thanks to the guys over at Fury for hooking me up with some trucks and some shirts. Honestly, it would be hard to sway me away from Indys after 20 years of loyalty, but my son was all over these. I let him set up a new deck and he just got some new Flip wheels, so he was loving the whole setup. He dialed the trucks in no time and was stoked on how far he could 5050 the bricks downstairs. They look like good sturdy trucks. With people like Mountain, Hawk, Rune, Bob B riding for them that alone should speak for itself. Check out their site http://www.furytruckcompany.com/index.html

Always big kudos to Terri and Dan over at Juice mag. Based out of Wilmington NC they cover the current state of Pool, Bowls, Pipes, Surfing, and Punk Rock. They do it wth tons of content and they have a good staff with a mixed bag of interview styles. Their section "Duty now for the future" always covers someone whom dedicates their cause for the good of new skate terrain. This particular month Murf interviews Outer Banks very own Marc Corbett. They also have a section this month called East Coast Hardcore featuring shots from "your truely". Every time I see them down here they hook everyone up with Tshirts, stickers, and sometimes wheels. I'd like to get a set of those, hint,hint.... So go out and try to get a copy of this months mag. Lots of East Coast coverage. Support Juice!!!

Conspiracy Skateboards "New DVD: "Saikou"
Pronounced 'Psycho' the new DVD from Conspiracy skateboards is the result of a vast collection of some of the best cncrete and DIY spots from around the country. Includes footage from the infamous Fallen Wharehouse Death Bowl, the Oregon Trifecta, and the Conspiracy Crew's Northwestern tour. 38 minutes f backyard pools, killer parks, famous ditches, and raw street spots.

Saw some local footage I shot of Jesse. The NW tour footage is insane. Jerry H, Glen C. and Brian P. get it done. The Trifecta part is total chaos. What a shame the Fallen Wharehouse is gone already, that place looked amazing. Def a worth while video if your a fan of the Orange or Green Wheels. Some of the best all around wheels out there. Get the video here along with all Conspiracy Products.

Duff Shoes: East Coast Duff rep Trey Womble got me hooked up with some Duffs. The first pair I got are comfortable, I've only skated in them a couple times. I skated in a pair of the Kid Jason Adam's model. They were nice and flat with a good grippy sole. Highly recomended if you can't stand some of the other shoe options and you want to try something different. Skylar is getting a little flow too. Thanks Trey

Mob Grip: Got some Mob Grip from local NHS Rep Jason Forrest. Comes with every new ECA board until I run out. Damn good grip tape. I usually catch hell putting on tape, it's a bit of a struggle without the extra hand. I usually tend to get bubbles. This stuff claims to be perferated and eases all this. So far the stuff is grippier than all get out. Hope it last.

Thanks Jason and MOB

Hardnox Clothing: "A refeshing punch in the face!" These guys are from P-Town VA. Some pretty gnar graphics here. Killer art work. I'd like to get one of those jackets. Check out their site. The site is pretty clean and you can get their shirts right from their online store.

Thank you Mike Battle for passing these on.

Skate Colorado:

You like your skateboarding wide open, tranny stoked, and beer soaked? You like Colorado? You like free skateparks, backyard danger, fullpipes, chicks, pools, contest, demos, and bails. Over 80 minutes of all of this from Jerry at Negativeion. Bruce Adams kicked me one of these this past weekend and it prob won't leave my DVD player for a couple of months. Thanks Bruce. Go get that thing right here.

Wounded Knee Skateboards
Murph is getting ready to launch the Wounded Knee Video in Sept/Oct. Expect Sciencefairs, 5.9, Murph, Skatopia, Wanchese, NYC, and all points in between. He handed out a trailer at the OC Bowl, try to reach him from the site: Woundedkneeskateboards.com

DaKine makes all kinds of products for all types of board sports, their most important contribution to skateboarding would have to be their board bags. Skate team manager Scott Koerner sent me some bags recently. I got three of the Latest Team pack. Ample storage for your helmet and pads, a couple of tshirts, a pair of jeans, and some socks. Other pockets like fleece lined sunglass pockets, molded sound pockets with sound port, and quick load skate carry. Scott sent one of the Manchau Pack, which my son promptly swooped up. A little smaller than the team pack with the same features. I also got a much needed Skate Duffle. Big enough for your board and all your gear. I know some people use buckets, crates, laundry bags whatever it takes but I do like to have the extra pockets to store stickers, wheels, and other crap. So thanks Scott for the bags. I have a few to give away so I think when the new Currituck park gets dome I'll give a couple out for some of the first that will surely go down out there. Like first over that 6 ft door.....

More DaKine stuff here.

Sacrifice Skateboards, Rene sent these in a while back. It seems the video "In through the out door" won some awards at this years X-Dance festival. The video is done in a documentary format featuring candid interviews with all the Sacrifice team members telling it like it is, and showcasing some good pool and park footage. The video has a great vibe and immediately stokes you out to go skate.

Sacrifice Killer cut 97A: I got these wheels a while back. I rode them at Vans back before they closed the doors and they were perfect hardness for the pool. I ride 1/4 inch risers and real loose trucks so at 63mm they are a little big. I have a big board I'll prob set up for ditch and places like Lansdowne, MD. If you liked the old Santa Cruz Bullets, these are right up your alley.

Sacrifice Skateboards, Montclair CA. Rene Morales has been supporting the site since the begriming. Sending me stickers, tshirts, and hooking me up with the PBR Sacrifice Deck. I've had three of them and kept one for display. My favorite deck, 8.5 with 15 " wheelbase. Perfect for vert bowls and pools. Sacrifice is in it for the cause, he has good American products and a solid skate team. Order info here

FasterSkateboards, LA CA. I got a couple of shirts and a hat from Mark Gee. He happens to be sponsored by Faster with a Gee model. I haven't ridden one of their boards YET, but Dirty has. They now have the Deathwish skateboard series. I have been riding the board for a couple weeks, and its solid. . Its 8 with an 14 1/2 wheelbase. The graphics are by Michal Bukowski, pretty classic graphic. Go get one here.
