Ocean Bowl is the oldest
operating municipal skate park in the United States. Open in June
of 76 it consisted of a couple of asphalt bowls, big and little.
In the late 70's and 80's there were various quarter pipes, curbs,
and a couple of Vert ramps. It was remolded in fall of 97 and
there is currently talk of a possible renovation to make the park
bigger and even more modern. Skating The Ocean Bowl is part of
your East Coast skateboarding heritage, go there and pay your
respects. Long live Haystack Marlowe....
