The beauty of having your own backyard oasis for skateboarding is being able to do whatever you want, whenever you want. A few phone calls, some emails, a couple of willing bands, hot dogs, keg, and a hand full of product donations we threw together a killer backyard jam with very little notice. Weather was killer, the first band Underground District fired up and the skateboarding was going deep. Hot dogs hit the grill and the first cop made his presence. The skating continued on with some sick reggae rolling on.... Microjoy rocked it hard! We raffled off every thing we had from a bar of wax to a unreal custom made skimboard from local ripper Joe Ward. We raised a couple hundred dollars that may cover the beer and the sound ordinance.... Big thanks to everyone who came out! Look for part II near the end of the summer. Its gonna be tight next time.
