The weekend started early out at Wanchese Thurs night. We had a couple of skate crews from GA and Charlotte NC in town. Good eve sesh. Sat started by getting to the Hooked Compound by 10 am. The rain held out all day and every heat was done by 2 pm. 158 and DVO did a great job getting everything ready and rolling throughout the day. The skating was going off. People were doing things they don't normally do all over the place. I tried to get as much action as I could. I saw at least 4 video cameras, so maybe there will be some vid soon. Enjoy. #4 will be in May, so stay tuned.

Starting off at Wanchese Thurs. Charlotte ripper Brian Tori stands on up into the corner Hey Chuck Powell, do that dog pee thing again....sick Brian got comfortable real quick out there... CPowell stinking up the vert ramp. Contest day on Sat. Groms. The Grom heat had a lot of talent. Top three were, Daniell Hobson 3rd, Dylan O'niel 2nd, and Ronnie O'Niel 1st. Dylan O'niel starts thing off with a nice grind in the deep Crew ? from VB gets over the lip Not many people grind over there, Ronnie O'niel does, alot.... Daniell Hobson grinds the deep end Forest Davis first time in this deep end Forest gets a little hop in the deep Dylan throws one up and out Ronnie puts one up as well Love watching Ronnie standing these up around the deep Crew get a deep one while Moms gets some footy Daniell before he took a digger to his knee. Get well! Skylar Nelson got some Nohea Futrel straight out of the dugout and into some tile JR Division: I didn't get em all, here's a few... Top three JR were Alex Jolly 3rd, Marshell Boyd 2nd, and Brandon Broody 1st Brandon Broody Grind Rewind I know this guy as Squeak Jones Alex Jolly Frontside air Marshell Boyd smith the deep Marshell Grinds the DB with ease Brandon pops one up over the whole thing
Girls Division: Three girls this time. They killed it. Chelsea got 3rd, Sue got 2nd, and Ashley got 1st Chelsea warms up before her run with Jorts, Beer, Biscuits, and snakes... Chelsea Grinds in the shallow Grinds in the deep Sue Krausse slices the deep end Ashley Barnes style for miles in the deep end and into 1st place
Open Men Division: Great skating by everybody. You all win. Top 3 was Pat Clark 3rd, Jesse Davis 2nd, and Dave Maxwell 1st. Pat Clark apllies rail in the deep Jesse Davis with equal pressure Dave Maxwell around the deep pats an invisible dwarve on the head as he goes by The James going kamakazee! Jesse New angles back smith Chuck Powell go get your gear, your competing! rarghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Jason with a nice one in the deep GD, Lookout coping! Jason throws one up during the jam Dave barefeet and pregnant Wait, what session was this from? another sick crail Taylor with a backside disaster Dave with the lien disaster Pat Clark smiths the entire deep end. Not really, but looks like it Dave's answer to a flip trick above the lip contest Pat wih a primal scream invert during his last run. Real nice style there CPowell...
